FAQs
What makes EMS different from traditional dropshipping platforms?
Traditional dropshipping marketplaces often take control away from suppliers by inserting third-party intermediaries, charging transaction fees, and limiting pricing control. EMS is designed differently.
The EMS platform connects suppliers and retail partners directly through their own WooCommerce stores, allowing both sides to maintain full ownership of their business, products, and customer relationships. Instead of relying on a marketplace model, EMS operates as a private distribution network where suppliers control pricing, partner access, product availability, and fulfillment workflows.
Because orders are routed directly back to the supplier and paid through the built-in Retainer Wallet system, suppliers are protected financially while partners can expand their product catalog without holding inventory. The result is a scalable supplier-to-retailer ecosystem that provides the automation of dropshipping while maintaining the control and flexibility of a direct wholesale relationship.
Self-Managed Platform (Software License)
Self-Managed Platform (Software License)
What exactly am I purchasing?
You are purchasing a digital license to install the EMS Fulfillment Hub or EMS Partner Connect platform inside your own WordPress / WooCommerce environment.
This license provides the software required to connect suppliers and retail partners, synchronize product catalogs, route orders automatically, and manage partner wallets and pricing rules within your own infrastructure.
Who handles the installation?
Because this is the self-managed option, installation is handled by your team.
Your environment must be capable of running a modern WordPress + WooCommerce installation and must support REST API communications used for product synchronization and order routing.
Documentation and setup instructions are provided with your license.
What server requirements are needed?
Your server must support a modern WordPress and WooCommerce stack, including:
• PHP 8+
• WordPress REST API enabled
• SSL certificate (HTTPS)
• Secure outbound API access for partner synchronization
The system uses secure token authentication to allow suppliers and partners to exchange product data, order information, and inventory updates.
What does support include?
Support for the Self-Managed license includes assistance with:
• platform functionality
• configuration guidance
• API connection troubleshooting
• bug fixes within the EMS platform
Support does not include server troubleshooting, hosting issues, theme styling, or conflicts caused by third-party plugins or hosting environments.
How do software updates work?
Software updates are released periodically to improve functionality, security, and compatibility with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Customers with an active annual renewal receive access to:
• new platform releases
• security updates
• feature improvements
• ongoing compatibility updates
Updates are installed manually by downloading the newest version from your EMS account dashboard.
Can the platform be customized?
Yes. The system is designed to be developer-friendly and extensible.
Developers can extend functionality using:
• WordPress hooks
• WooCommerce filters
• custom integrations
• child theme overrides
Direct modifications to core platform files are not recommended because they may be overwritten during updates.

General Questions
How do billing and renewals work?
All recurring billing is managed through our accounting platform.
Depending on your plan, you may receive:
• annual software renewal invoices (Self-Managed)
• monthly service invoices (Fully Managed)
Invoices are sent automatically and can be paid securely online.
How does the Retainer Wallet system work?
The EMS platform uses a Retainer Wallet model to protect suppliers from unpaid wholesale orders.
Partners deposit funds into their wallet balance before placing orders. When a product is sold through a partner store, the order amount is automatically deducted from the partner’s wallet.
This ensures suppliers are paid first before fulfillment occurs, eliminating the financial risk typically associated with drop-shipping.
What happens if a partner’s wallet balance is too low?
The system monitors partner balances in real time.
If a partner’s wallet drops below the minimum threshold:
• their status changes to LOW
• suppliers receive visibility inside the admin dashboard
• the partner is prompted to top up their wallet
This prevents new orders from being placed without sufficient funds.
Can suppliers control product pricing across partners?
Yes.
Suppliers maintain full control of:
• partner pricing tiers
• wholesale pricing
• minimum advertised pricing rules
• product access permissions
Partners can set their own retail pricing, but supplier rules ensure brand protection and pricing integrity across the network.
Do partners handle fulfillment?
No.
Orders placed on partner stores are automatically routed back to the supplier for fulfillment through their normal WooCommerce workflow.
This allows partners to sell products without holding inventory while suppliers retain complete control of shipping and order processing.
